Zelda’s Dog Academy’s average client utilizes 6-8 private coaching lessons. Keeping a regular training schedule helps to facilitate consistency and allows the instructor to catch any errors in training before they inhibit your dog’s progress. While the frequency of Private Coaching Lessons is entirely up to you, it is highly encouraged to schedule lessons weekly or every other week. A Private Coaching Lesson is 1 hour in length and may be a thorough discussion of behavioral concerns, an active training session regarding commands, or a combination of the both. While you are able to choose the location of instruction, please understand that certain commands and behavioral concerns will be easier and more effective to address in certain locations.Īt each Private Coaching Lesson you will receive a lesson plan and any applicable handouts addressing commands and behavioral concerns for that particular lesson. She is excited to give owners the same level of training, discipline, and obedience as the military working dogs she had worked for ten years regardless of their age, size, or breed! Trish is excited to bring her wealth of knowledge and experience to the Portland, Oregon area! She is very experienced in training dogs for basic and advanced obedience, detection work, as well as dealing with behavioral modification, puppy training, and aggression and/or reactivity cases. In her ten years of service, she had the opportunity to work with hundreds of different dogs. While at her home station, her and her (K9) partner would often times provide local law enforcement with back-up, supervise subordinates, and even assisted in Presidential event sweeps along with the US Secret Service. Trish spent twelve years of active duty in the United States Air Force, ten as a military working dog handler which included six different duty stations and two deployments.
